City of Cleveland's celebration is literally lit, from outer space

NASA astronaut Terry W. Virts, who once commanded the International Space Station, tweeted this photo capturing the view of the city lights emanating around Lake Erie.

After 52 years without a championship, you probably expected the City of Cleveland’s celebration of their Cavaliers’ stunning title victory to be lit, as the kids say, and as expected it was — quite literally.

NASA astronaut Terry W. Virts, who once commanded the International Space Station, tweeted this photo capturing the view of the city lights emanating around Lake Erie. This photo may or may not have been taken following Game 7, since Virts returned to Earth in June 2015, but fellow American Jeff Williams is still stationed in space, and, well, it’s a lot cooler to imagine watching Cleveland’s celebration from space.

Almost immediately, rumors circulated that citizens of Cleveland had started by stealing a fire truck.
